Acrylic for Christmas

Acrylic for Christmas

What would your reaction be if I suggested you give an acrylic display case as a Christmas gift? I imagine it might be difficult for you to visualize what I had in mind. I’d like to take a few minutes to explain myself. When I’m finished, I suspect you’ll realize at least one person on your list would truly enjoy receiving an acrylic case for Christmas.

A Helmet Case

But what if you have a championship coin or ring you’d like to display with the helmet?

I admit it’s pretty easy to set a helmet on a shelf. For example, an LSU fan would enjoy a helmet encased with the 2003 and 2007 championship coins. You can see here where Tony mounted his gold University of Arkansas coin with his 1978 throw back helmet.

We’ve also designed acrylic display cases that can hang on the wall rather than set on a shelf. We are designing two cases for my sister who has a signed New England Patriots helmet and a Denver Broncos helmet. She’s adding a game room/bar to her home, and the helmets are going to hang on the wall behind the bar. They’re going to look so awesome! How about a helmet case like this one for the Saints fan on you list?

A Mardi Gras Favor

Have you ever tried to dust a glitter-encrusted Mardi Gras favor? Were you able to remove the dust without removing glitter?

It’s a challenge! Our cases are ideal solutions! They protect the Muses shoe, Nyx purse, or Zulu coconut, and we’ll help you design the case to perfectly complement the Mardi Gras treasure.

Does someone on your list have a parade souvenir packed away, but you know they’d love to have it displayed to enjoy and share with others?

A Child’s Firsts

A baby’s first shoes, a dancer’s first ballet shoes, the toy truck that the little boy in him will cherish forever….These are all great examples of special items that would show beautifully in an acrylic display case.  Think about the people on your gift list this year. I’ll bet at least one person has something special stored away that they would love to have displayed to enjoy and share!

Give us a call or stop by our shop in historic Gretna. We’d love to help you create a unique gift for someone special on your list this year!

Make it a personal Valentine’s gift

Make it a personal Valentine’s gift

Valentine’s Day is coming fast! I happen to be very fond of both chocolate and flowers, but I really love personal Valentine’s gifts. What about you? Are you going for a more individual touch, or is your guy, well, too much of a guy for flowers? Fortunately, Cupid stopped in the shop recently and gave us a few Valentine’s gift ideas to help us all along!

Frame a Flower

My bridal bouquet was made of calla lilies, so when I ran across a print of a calla lily years ago, I just had to have it. It’s not a fancy piece, but it is a special piece. It has meaning. Perhaps your loved one would enjoy a framed photo of only her bridal bouquet. Or, if you are an unmarried couple, a framed image of your sweetheart’s favorite flower would make a lovely, personalized gift. Websites like allposters.com or liebermans.net have images you might consider.

Oh, as an added bonus; a picture of flowers won’t die!

Frame a Photo

Give your sweetheart a framed photo of the two of you. It could be from the night you met or a recent trip you took. My husband framed a photo of us from the evening of our 25th wedding anniversary and gave it to me as a gift. Valentine’s Day is a day to celebrate your relationship and commitment to each other. This would be a way to say, “I love that we are a couple.”

Frame an Invitation

If you’ve never framed your wedding invitation, now is the time to do it. It really doesn’t matter if you’re newlyweds or have been married for years, this is a romantic gesture. If you’re not there yet, frame a memento from your first date or special event you attended together. That might include the tickets, program, playbill, or even napkins from your special evening.

Valentine’s Day isn’t necessarily a time for fancy. It’s a time for romance and sentiment. Chocolate and roses are great. But you won’t regret opting for personal Valentine’s gifts!
